Penguin
This cute tuxedo-sporting bird wears this pattern known as “countershading,” which actually provides camouflage for the vulnerable flightless bird. The darker backside is similar to the dark shade of the ocean when they swim, keeping them safe from predators above, while their white bellies hides them from predators below the water. This lighter color also blends them in with the ice. Baby penguins, however, are born with a brownish or grayish color. Good thing their parents raise them until they can hunt on their own.
