Lamb
Baby lambs look cute and often vulnerable because they actually are very fragile. Newborn lambs experience a rather high mortality rate that can be countered by taking good care of the animal. Lambs are bred for wool or meat production, but they can also be kept as pets, as they are gentle creatures. There are over 1 billion sheep around the world and a sheep named Dolly was the first mammal to be cloned back in 1996.
